In the video Alla fine del mondo (At the end of the world), 2002, the artificial colours added to the shades of dusk emphasise the passage of time in a mental scene where natural elements, sounds and lights assume an absolute abstract quality.
The sounds of a siren and a car – which supervene and then fade away – seem to be narrative indications of unsettling, lynchian resonances; but nothing happens visually, and the suspended atmosphere of the place remains indifferent to eventual interpretations.
The Alla fine del mondo project, composed by a series of photographs and this video, was conducted at the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, Woodside, California, with the support of Movin'Up grant and Studio Jacobacci & Partners; then presented at the show Nuovo Spazio Italiano, curated by Fabio Cavallucci, Giovanna Nicoletti, Giorgio Verzotti, MART, Palazzo delle Albere, Trento, 2002-2003.
